Rejection

Amidst the changing world,

exists a constant feel;

the emotion of fear,

changing the whole zeal!

Losing a candy fight,

or a running race at school;

the fear of rejection starts,

filling the whole pool.

Demoralised, broken,

she gives up all hope;

for no one ever told her,

fear was the skipping rope!

Introvert she turned,

for speaking wasn't her tea;

be it a crush or a love,

she always had to flee.

College came by fast,

the world around her broadened;

unable to help her habit,

she remained unaltered.

Wherever she went,

laughs and giggles followed;

for she never told anyone,

her ideas that she swallowed.

With projects and clients to handle

and with confidence an infant,

coffee breaks were scary,

corporate was no different.

She tried her hand at art

for that had been her passion;

fear makes life miserable

a life full of lemon!

Years had passed by,

successful was the emotion;

loss was of the victim,

the victim of 'fear' and 'rejection'.

Thousands of different stories,

millions of lives affected;
winner is only one,

the 'emotion' of getting rejected.
